The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Deanery coordinates and facilitates the postgraduate training of hospital-based doctors and those training in General Practice and Dentistry.
The newly established Schools work, via local Faculty Groups, to ensure the highest possible quality of education and training for our trainees.
To do this we respond to their needs and interests within the framework of a patient centred national health service. We also support the development of the faculty of educators.
The Schools and Deanery will ensure the Quality Management (QM) of the programmes they run are in keeping with PMETB requirements. The quality management role is a collaboration between Colleges - who are responsible for the curricula - and the Deaneries.
This website has been produced to provide information to junior doctors training in KSS and beyond and others. This includes the clinicians who deliver the education and training and the administrators who support both groups of doctors in their educational activities.
